Beliefs

A new version of Thomas Paine's original plea to the disjointed American colonies, Common Sense for the Present, summarizes our core beliefs.

Abbreviated Beliefs of the Cincinnati Tea Party

We focus on three unifying core values:
·         Fiscal responsibility
·         Limited government
·         Free markets

These values derive from our shared heritage and a belief in a free person who exercises personal responsibility.

We believe these values which defined the foundation of America are an extension of natural rights, and therefore necessary in upholding what our Declaration of Independence calls: Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. Pursuit of these rights is not possible without preservation of those 3 core values.

To this end, our founders shed tyranny and formed a Republic under a Constitution which was designed to protect those core values.

In short - natural rights cannot be protected unless upholding these core values. We believe these rights and values to be the core of conservatism.
