Bethel-Tate Tea Party -  Summer 2011

Who We Are...
The Bethel-Tate Tea Party is a grassroots, non-partisan organization of private citizens united by our shared values. Our mission is to organize like-minded individuals, to educate and inform others based on our core values, to secure public policy consistent with those values, and to positively affect the outcome of elections.
For more information on Clermont groups, check the website at http://teapartyclermont.org/.
What We Believe...
We focus on three unifying core values:
fiscal responsibility, limited government, and free markets. These values derive from our shared heritage and a belief in a free person who exercises personal responsibility.
Our Goals...
It is our desire to educate citizens to these core values, unite like-minded individuals, and restore these core values as primary cultural and political ideology.

Candidates who declare their intention to run for President of the United States in 2012 will also be invited and expected to attend the two-day event. Starting immediately, and ending on May 16, 2011, attendees can purchase the $100 single day pass at a 25% discount and pay only $75 for either Friday or Saturday including the luncheon and speaker for that day. All tickets can be ordered at www.WethePeopleConvention.org.
Reports & Updates...
At the Polls
If you circulated the HealthCare Petitions at the polls, please bring them, filled or partially completed, to the June 7 Clermont County Tea
Party meeting. The deadline for submission is June 19, however, we will continue to gather signatures to compensate for any invalid signatures.
Did You Know...
On June 1, a 3-judge panel of the U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals heard an appeal on Thomas More Law Center, et al. v. Barack Obama, et al. The case focuses on the constitutionality of Obamacare. Previously, a Michigan district court had ruled that the plantiffs did not have standing to sue. This court heard an appeal of that ruling. About 30 pro-Obamacare demonstraters were in attendance.
With barely 24-hours notice, 50 patriots showed up to protest Obamacare and to gather signatures for the Healthcare Freedom Amendment. In being there, we accomplished three things:
1. Gathered 300 signatures for the Healthcare Freedom Amendment;
2. Kept the issue in the public eye and influenced those who were downtown yesterday.
3. Got media coverage on Fox19, WVXU and Instapundit.
Getting Involved...
The Clermont County Fair ( July 24-30) is a great place to interact with people, explain the Tea Party’s goals, and hand out important material. We will be manning the Fair booth following the parade on Sunday and from 12 noon to 8:30 p.m. Mon. - Sat. in two to two and a half hour shifts with three to four people per shift. Fair passes are available for booth workers at the fair grounds everyday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting July 18th, $3 for a daily pass, $15 for the week. To sign up, contact Kathy Freudenberger (kathfreu@hotmail.com or 734- 1855 - leave message with contact info if no answer) as soon as possible.
Patriotic Quilt Raffle! See the handmade red, white and blue quilt at the Clermont County Tea Party Meetings June 7th and July 5th and at the Fair Booth. Raffle tickets will be available at the meetings, $1 each or $5 for 6.
